1. What types of certificates do you offer?
We can do any type of replacement certificate that you need. We have created hundreds of
different types and we are always adding to our library. Most of our certificates are based on the
original documents except they often have color and more detailed artwork. They include schools, awards, medals and ribbons, certifications, training, achievements, citations and special operations just to name a few.
2. How long does it take to get my order?
We try to ship most certificates 7-10 days after you place an order. Sometimes it is faster and every so often it may take a little longer depending on the amount of custom art work and research that is needed for large orders. 90% of our orders ship in a week after we receive your personal certificate information.
3. What happens after I pay/place my order?
After you pay for your order, we email you a form that you fill out to provide us with the name, rank, dates etc that are needed to create your certificate. Once you fill this out we begin work on your certificate. Often we call or email you if there is any need to clarify some of your information.
4. What is the cost of the certificates?
Most certificates are $19.99 and $3.50shipping each. We do offer buy three and get the fourth one free for $59.99 and $5.00 shipping (a $30 savings). We use Paypal and do not see your credit card information. You do not need to be a member to use Paypal. We will also take a personal check (for amounts under a $100) and money orders.
5. My military school/training/assignment did not give me any type of certificate.
That is fine because we can create you certificate using our library of certificates and it will be better than any you would have received from the military. If you do have some old copies of your certificates, click here to see how we can "repair" them.
6. I am on active duty at this time and some of my training/awards have gotten lost and are not in my "official records". Can you make me a replacement certificate to prove that I had that training?
NO! Only the US Military/Government can issue you a legal document to prove that you had a certain type of training/medal/award.
7. Are you certificates legal documents?
Only certificates we are contracted to make for military training or military schools are considered to be legal documents. The rest of our replacement documents are for personal display only....not proof of service.
8. Can I use your certificates for proof of service for the VA?
No! Again only government issued documents can be used to collect benefits.
9. How do your certificates differ from the other providers of certificates?
Our certificates are vastly superior in many ways:
*Our papers are 90lb linen card stocks..not the 24lb you get from other venders or the 20lb papers that the government gave you. We can create your certificate on legal sized 8.5x14 papers if you want(it is a little harder to find a frame to fit this size).
*We use real images and medals. We don't use cartoon line art on your certificates
*We print on commercial HP printers, not a cheap desktop model like most others.
*We use the best and longest lasting inks available...your image will not fade.
*We can do any type of special order, Just let us know you needs.
10. How do you ship your certificates?
We ship each certificate in a heavy weight, clear, pvc-free document cover. The certificates are then placed in an oversized manila envelope that is reinforced with cardboard inserts to keep you certificate from getting bent.
11. What if there is a mistake on a certificate that I ordered?
We are prior service here at usmccertificates.com and yourmilitaryhistory.com. We take great pride in our products and what we have to offer to you. If we make a mistake or a spelling error, we are happy to send you a replacement document ASAP. The same goes if you make a mistake or need to make a correction to a document....no charge. If you are not satisfied with your product, we will do our best to make it right or refund your money. We are only as good as our last product that we made. We are proud to offer the BEST in customer service period! You will always get an email or a phone call when there is any problem.
12. Why do you require proof of high level awards such as a Silver Star or Navy Cross?
We take our products seriously and the service of the men and women in uniform just as seriously. We do not condone those who would try to pass themselves off as military "heroes" and it is against the law to display military awards that one did not earn. Any high level award will need to verified in the national database or a copy of your dd214. No exceptions!
13. Do you make novelty certificates?
NO! We do not make any type of novelty certificates. That is not what we do. Our products are made to be displayed with pride and to honor your military service. If you are looking for that junk, you need to go some place else!
14. Do you make certificates for active duty military classes/schools?
Yes we do! The prices can vary depending on the number of certificates needed, custom artwork required, and if the school wants to buy the original files to print their own. Just email us for a detailed quote.

About Us YourMilitaryHistory was started in 2003 in Portland Oregon. It is run by a small group of former Marines. We were disapointed in the lack of options available to service members who wanted to replace their certificates or create a shadow box to display their military service. Prices were well over $500 for a service shadowbox and any certificates available were often of the poorest quality....not more than a bad xerox copy.
